Digital terrain analysis(DTA)is one of the most important contents in the research of geographical information science(GIS).However,on the basis of the digital elevation model(DEM),many problems exist in the current research of DTA in geomorphological studies.For instance,the current DTA research appears to be focused more on morphology,phenomenon,and modern surface rather than mechanism,process,and underlying terrain.The current DTA research needs to be urgently transformed from the study of landform morphology to one focusing on landform process and mechanism.On this basis,this study summarizes the current research status of geomorphology-oriented DTA and systematically reviews and analyzes the research about the knowledge of geomorphological ontology,terrain modeling,terrain derivative calculation,and terrain analytical methods.With the help of DEM data,DTA research has the advantage of carrying out geomorphological studies from the perspective of surface morphology.However,the study of DTA has inherent defects in terms of data expression and analytic patterns.Thus,breakthroughs in basic theories and key technologies are necessary.Moreover,scholars need to realize that DTA research must be transformed from phenomenon to mechanism,from morphology to process,and from terrain to landform.At present,the research development of earth science has reached the critical stage in which the DTA research should focus more on geomorphological ontology.Consequently,this study proposes several prospects of geomorphology-oriented DTA from the aspects of value-added DEM data model,terrain derivatives and their spatial relations,and macro-terrain analysis.The study of DTA based on DEM is at a critical period along with the issue on whether the current GIS technology can truly support the development of geography.The research idea of geomorphology-oriented DTA is expected to be an important exploration and practice in the field of GIS. 展开更多

<strong>Background:</strong> Worldwide, prostatic adenocarcinoma is the most common tumour type among men. <strong>Aim:</strong> The aim of the present investigation was to develop a computer p... <strong>Background:</strong> Worldwide, prostatic adenocarcinoma is the most common tumour type among men. <strong>Aim:</strong> The aim of the present investigation was to develop a computer program to identify normal prostate biopsies and distinguish them from biopsies showing premalignant alterations (LGPIN, HGPIN) and adenocarcinoma. <strong>Method:</strong> Prostate biopsies (n = 2094) taken from 191 consecutive men during 2016 were stained with triple immunehistochemisty (antibodies to AMACRA, p63 and CK 5). Digital images of the biopsies were obtained with a scanning microscope and used to develop an automatic computer program (CelldaTM), intended to identify the morphological alterations. Visual microscopic finding was used as a reference. <strong>Result:</strong> Of the 191 men, 121 (63.4%) were diagnosed as having prostate adenocarcinoma and 70 (36.6%) as having no malignancy on the basis of the visual microscopy. In comparison, computer analysis identified 134 (70.2%) men with malignant disease and 57 (29.8%) with non-malignant disease after exclusion of artifacts, which constituted 10.4% of areas (indicated as malignant disease). Discrepant results were recorded in 15 (7.9%) men, and in 14 of these cases, HGPIN and areas suggestive of early invasion were common. Thus, it was uncertain whether these cases should be regarded as malignant or not. The agreement between the visual examination and the computer analysis was 92.1% (kappa value 0.823, sensitivity 99.2 and specificity was 0.80). <strong>Conclusion:</strong> It seems that computer analysis could serve as an adjunct to simplify and shorten the diagnostic procedure, first of all by ensuring that normal prostate biopsies are sorted out from those sent for visual microscopic evaluation. 展开更多

Microscopic seepage characteristics are critical for the evaluation of tight sandstone reservoirs.In this study,a digital core approach integrating microscopic seepage simulation and CT scanning was developed to characterize microscopic seepage and fracture effectiveness(the ratio of micro-fractures that contributes to fluid flow)of tight sandstones.Numerical simulations were carried out for characterizations of tight sandstones.The results show that the axial permeability of the investigated cylindrical tight sandstone from Junggar Basin in China is 0.460μm~2,while the radial permeability is 0.3723μm~2,and the axial and radial effective fracture ratios are 0.4387 and 0.4806,respectively,indicating that cracks are not fully developed and the connectivity between micro-cracks is poor.Directional permeability that is difficult to measure by laboratory experiments can be obtained readily using the proposed method in this paper.The results provide important information for improving the exploration and development of tight sandstone reservoirs. 展开更多

Due to the low permeability of tight reservoirs,throats play a significant role in controlling fluid flow.Although many studies have been conducted to investigate fluid flow in throats in the microscale domain,comparatively fewer works have been devoted to study the effect of adsorption boundary layer(ABL)in throats based on the digital rock method.By considering an ABL,we investigate its effects on fluid flow.We build digital rock model based on computed tomography technology.Then,microscopic pore structures are extracted with watershed segmentation and pore geometries are meshed through Delaunay triangulation approach.Finally,using the meshed digital simulation model and finite element method,we investigate the effects of viscosity and thickness of ABL on microscale flow.Our results demonstrate that viscosity and thickness of ABL are major factors that significantly hinder fluid flow in throats. 展开更多

Capturing leaf color variances over space is important for diagnosing plant nutrient and health status,estimating water availability as well as improving ornamental and tourism values of plants.In this study,leaf color variances of the Eurasian smoke tree,Cotinus coggygria were estimated based on geographic and climate variables in a shrub community using generalized elastic net(GELnet)and support vector machine(SVM)algorithms.Results reveal that leaf color varied over space,and the variances were the result of geography due to its effect on solar radiation,temperature,illumination and moisture of the shrub environment,whereas the influence of climate were not obvious.The SVM and GELnet algorithm models were similar estimating leaf color indices based on geographic variables,and demonstrates that both techniques have the potential to estimate leaf color variances of C.coggygria in a shrubbery with a complex geographical environment in the absence of human activity. 展开更多

With good randomness and high sensitivity to initial values,chaotic sequences have been extensively used in secure communication.Real chaotic sequences are highly sensitive to initial values.It is an analog quantity in the domain of attraction,which is not conducive to the transmission of digital signals.In order to improve the stability,real chaotic sequences can be quantized into digital chaotic sequences.According to the relationship between the information rate and the symbol rate,the symbol rate of binary sequence is the same as the information rate.The information rate can be doubled by quantizing a real-valued sequence into a quaternary sequence.The chaotic sequence has weak periodicity.Moreover,the periodicity of binary digital chaotic sequences is much weaker than that of quaternary chaotic sequences.Compared with the multi-dimensional chaotic map,the one-dimensional chaotic map has small key space and low security.In this paper,a new real-valued chaotic sequence is generated based on the chaotic matrix method constructed by Logistic map and Kent map.Two quantization methods are used to digitize the real-valued chaotic sequence to obtain the quaternary digital chaotic sequence.Moreover,the randomness,the time series complexity and the correlation of the new quaternary chaotic sequence are compared and studied.The simulation results demonstrate that the quaternary digital chaotic sequence obtained by the chaotic matrix has good randomness and correlation. 展开更多

目的:研究缺牙区域的跨度对于口内扫描系统虚拟咬合记录(virtual interocclusal record,VIR)准确性的影响。方法:从标准模型中复制了超硬石膏模型,然后分成5个研究组,A组:单侧1个游离后牙缺失;B组:单侧2个游离后牙缺失;C组:单侧3个游离... 目的:研究缺牙区域的跨度对于口内扫描系统虚拟咬合记录(virtual interocclusal record,VIR)准确性的影响。方法:从标准模型中复制了超硬石膏模型,然后分成5个研究组,A组:单侧1个游离后牙缺失;B组:单侧2个游离后牙缺失;C组:单侧3个游离后牙缺失;D组:单侧4个游离后牙缺失;E组:完整牙列组(对照组)。并在石模型上设置3对交叉标记作为参考点用于测量。使用口内扫描仪在每组中对VIR进行5次扫描。在所有数字化石膏模型上获得牙弓标记点之间距离的数字化测量结果(D),并记录手动测量结果(d)。分别在A组、B组、C组和D组缺牙区域计算数字化(D)和手动测量(d)两者间的差异值(△E),并将其与对照组(E组)中相应的标记位置进行比较。结果:E组为唯一在所有3个牙弓标记位置上的数字化测量值和手动测量值之间没有显着差异,并且被用作分析缺牙区域的测量值的参考。与完整牙列E组相比,在A组的缺牙区域中没有发现统计学差异(P>0.05)。B、C、D组中,与完整牙列E组的差异值相比,缺牙区域均显示出统计学差异(P<0.05)。结论:缺牙区域的跨度会影响VIR的准确性。对于单颗游离后牙缺失,VIR可以达到精确度可与全牙弓条件相媲美。单侧后牙≥2颗缺失游离的缺牙跨距会影响VIR的准确性,临床应用VIR过程中可能具有不确定性。 展开更多

Digital rights management(DRM) applications are usually confronted with threats like key extraction, code lifting, and illegal distribution. White-box cryptography aims at protecting software implementations of cryptographic algorithms and can be employed into DRM applications to provide security. A general DRM solution based on white-box cryptography was proposed to address the three threats mentioned above. The method is to construct a general perturbation-enabled white-box compiler for lookup-table based white-box block ciphers, such that the white-box program generated by this compiler provides traceability along with resistance against key extraction and code lifting. To get a traceable white-box program, the idea of hiding a slight perturbation in the lookup-table was employed, aiming at perturbing its decryption functionality, so that each user can be identified. Security analysis and experimental results show that the proposed DRM solution is secure and practical. 展开更多

This paper presents an innovative investigation on prototyping a digital twin(DT)as the platform for human-robot interactive welding and welder behavior analysis.This humanrobot interaction(HRI)working style helps to enhance human users'operational productivity and comfort;while data-driven welder behavior analysis benefits to further novice welder training.This HRI system includes three modules:1)a human user who demonstrates the welding operations offsite with her/his operations recorded by the motion-tracked handles;2)a robot that executes the demonstrated welding operations to complete the physical welding tasks onsite;3)a DT system that is developed based on virtual reality(VR)as a digital replica of the physical human-robot interactive welding environment.The DT system bridges a human user and robot through a bi-directional information flow:a)transmitting demonstrated welding operations in VR to the robot in the physical environment;b)displaying the physical welding scenes to human users in VR.Compared to existing DT systems reported in the literatures,the developed one provides better capability in engaging human users in interacting with welding scenes,through an augmented VR.To verify the effectiveness,six welders,skilled with certain manual welding training and unskilled without any training,tested the system by completing the same welding job;three skilled welders produce satisfied welded workpieces,while the other three unskilled do not.A data-driven approach as a combination of fast Fourier transform(FFT),principal component analysis(PCA),and support vector machine(SVM)is developed to analyze their behaviors.Given an operation sequence,i.e.,motion speed sequence of the welding torch,frequency features are firstly extracted by FFT and then reduced in dimension through PCA,which are finally routed into SVM for classification.The trained model demonstrates a 94.44%classification accuracy in the testing dataset.The successful pattern recognition in skilled welder operations should benefit to accelerate n 展开更多

Background: Digital health similar Telemedicine and Mobile Health interventions are globally playing a significant roleto combat coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), which is an infectious disease caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndromecoronavirus19. Here, we present a very brief overview of the multifaceted digital interventions, globally, and in India, formaintaining health and health-care delivery, in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. Methods: This review was conducted throughsearching four databases including PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Science Direct. Inclusion criteria included studies clearlydefining any use of telehealth (Telemedicine and Mobile Health) services in all aspects of health care during COVID-19 outbreak.Results: 111 research studies published from 2019 to May 2020 were employed to provide theoretical and practical evidence on thesignificance of using telemedicine and mobile health for remote treatment of patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. Also checkedthe effects for identify the role of telehealth services in preventing, diagnosing, treating, and controlling diseases during COVID-19outbreak, result showed used Telemedicine and Mobile Health effective outcome in the prevention and emergency treatment of otherpatients. Discussion: Major technologies identified included telemedicine and mobile care (for COVID-19 as well as routine care),for monitoring. Telehealth can become a basic need for the general population, health care providers, and patients with COVID-19,especially when people are in quarantine, enabling patients in real time through contact with health care provider for advice on theirhealth problems. Conclusions: The use of telehealth improves the provision of health services. The soft robotics display huge advantages over their rigid counterparts when interacting with living organisms and fragile objects.As one of the most efficient actuators toward soft robotics,the soft pneumatic actuator(SPA)can produce large,complex responses with utilizing pressure as the only input source.In this work,a new approach that combines digital light processing(DLP)and injection-assisted post-curing is proposed to create SPAs that can realize different functionalities.To enable this,we develop a new class of photo-cross linked elastomers with tunable mechanical properties,good stretchability,and rapid curing speed.By carefully designing the geometry of the cavities embedded in the actuators,the resulting actuators can realize contracting,expanding,flapping,and twisting motions.In addition,we successfully fabricate a soft self-sensing bending actuator by injecting conductive liquids into the three-dimensional(3D)printed actuator,demonstrating that the present method has the potential to be used to manufacture intelligent soft robotic systems. 展开更多
